O.C.C WINS NATIONBALL 2009

A Round of Applause. A Standing Ovation. A Note Of Congratulations. All Hail to the Nationball Champions of 2009... O.C.C! O.C.C. blew away the crowd as the ravaged for the Nationball Crown. The underdogs coming in, there was not a single thought that the O.C.C. would prevail past the first round. To the shock of everyone they took out Hope in their first round. The first win of a great run of successes. Sigma then faced the challenge of the O.C.C. only to see defeat. The Final Battle came down to Horton, last years reigning Champions of not only Nationball but of Dorm Points in General, and the now infamous, O.C.C. It was a fierce battle where all claws came out, and to the utter shock of all, O.C.C. prevailed! Congraulations to O.C.C for Winning Nationball 2009! They will be awarded 500 Points for this Amazing Victory! As far as the Mini Competitions go... -Emerson rocked the house when their man was able to lick the Peanut Butter off the PlexiGlass the fastest. They will be awarded 150 points for this challenge. -We all rocked the house with a Dance Competition with O.C.C. 3rd with 50 points, Hope 2nd with 100 points, and Horton Claiming 1st with 150 points. Remember that you can gain Dorm Points throughout the year by getting traditions, or dorm unifying events put together, as well as finding the Egg. Look for other competitions at events like Midnight Madness, and Study Break for more chances to get dorm points and become the Dorm Champions of 2009-2010!

Midnight Madness 2009!

Midnight Madness 2009, a Ballin' Success! Thanks so much to everyone who came out on Sunday night to support Biola's Basketball Teams, and Pump-Up Biola's Spirit. It was a fantastic night full of energy, Basketball Players, our New BIOLA EAGLE!, the Red Sea, Cheerleaders, Xopoc, a Basketball Competition, the Kings Men, FREE Golden Spoon, and New Free T-shirts, thanks to our Amazing Woman's Basketball Team for getting 60 points in 10 minutes. You could hear the music bouncing, and the people cheering. Definitely a night to remember! A huge development took place as a New Biola Cheer was brought to the crowd. A cheer that will be performed at every sporting event, to show our Competition that will WE BE TAKING THEM TO CHURCH, as we totally rock them! Make sure you come to both the Men and Woman's Basketball Game on December 1st at 5:30pm with your Biola Red PomPom to claim your new Basketball t-shirt. Red Sea Shirts can be claimed or purchased at that game, and on December 8th when we dominate Point Loma (7:00pm).

Shane & Shane

Last Friday AS Social board partnered with Transparent Productions to bring Jeremiah Mullins and Shane & Shane to Biola's Sutherland auditorium. There were two shows that evening, the first started at 7pm and the second started just after 9pm. Although the attendance was lower than anticipated, energy and spirits were high. The night was full of jokes, stories and worship. If you missed their performance be sure to check out their new album "Everything is Different". Thanks to everyone who came out to participate and stay tuned for upcoming events and concerts.

FRIENDSHIP GAMES A SUCCESS! Mar 14 at 02PM

If you weren't at McNalley Field on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 2:30pm you missed out on a great time of food, fellowship, and fun! Maharlika, Biola's Filipino Club, hosted its first ever "Friendship Games," in which Biola's ethnic clubs and members of the International Student Association were invited to come together for a time of friendly competition and bonding between student groups.
