Please let me know what you think about these proposals. The Senate will be voting on Tuesday, February 12th.
1: The BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) club is requesting $1296 for four Black History Month events.
2: Sigma Chi Senators proposed for a ping pong table. They requested $450.
3: The AS Executive Leadership team is asking for the removal and relocation of two service chairs (Biolan and Chimes departments). Please see proposal for more information.

I know that it might be taboo to say this, but I honestly am wondering how $1296 will be properly used for Black History Month. I know that it is politically correct to celebrate this month, however I wondering as to how this amount that comes from all the students will be used. I simply can not come up with a reasonable explanation….. ??? Sorry if this seems rude…

I am thankful for your honesty. I know that it may seem like a large sum of money, but this money is going directly to the students. Most students are not aware of this, but everyone is invited to attend the Black History month events. They are open to all students. I encourage you to attend these events provided for the remainder of this month.
