29 April 29, 2008 MEMORANDUM FOR A.S. SENIOR VP / SENATE

FROM: Francisco Becerra- Hart Senator and Derrick Fallon-Hart RA (Res-Life)

SUBJECT: H-Art Festival

1. Proposal: On Thursday May 8th Hart Hall will be having an arts festival from 7pm to 11 pm. This Festival will serve as two purposes: a) It will be Hart’s last All-Hall b) an opportunity for Hart Residents to show off their artistic skills though poetry, art, film, and music. Music and poetry will be done outside in Harts Courtyard, While art will be displayed throughout the upper and lower lobbies in Hart. The films will be shown towards the second half of the event in our upstairs lobby.

2. Amount Requested: $1000 (see attached breakdown)

3. Problems with Status Quo: My goal and the goal of Hart Hall Res-Life is to have a successful event and we feel that this will be a great way to accomplish that goal. This is also the first AS/Res-Life event Hart has had all year and it a great way for Hart residents see their money working for them.

4. Miscellaneous: Along with a Chocolate Fondue fountain and sparkling cider fountain, the leadership staff in Hart believes that the addition of a photo booth will add more a lot class to the event. It will also provide a tangible memory for Hart residents of not only the night but of the friends they made while living in Hart.
