26 February 2008 MEMORANDUM FOR A.S. SENIOR VP / SENATE

FROM: Eric Weaver

SUBJECT: Sanctity of Life Lecture Series

1. Proposal: I am proposing to cover the honorariums of three speakers who are part of the Sanctity of Life Lecture Series.

2. Amount Requested: 1,100

3. Problems with Status Quo: Last year Biolans for life took a pool of Biola Students to assess their knowledge regarding the topic of abortion. More than half the students polled were unaware that over 3,600 abortions happen every day in the United States alone. With the Sanctity of Life Lecture Series, we hope to educate students here at Biola on the severity of the issue of abortion as well as teach them how to thoughtfully engage in effective conversations regarding the issue.
