Putting the Hope in South
I hope you had a great first week and a half of classes, and are starting to feel settled (even if you still have that last box of clothes still shoved in a corner, waiting to be unpacked.) Since you have found your way here, I’m assuming you are aware of the existence of the AS website. Congratulations! This is THE number one way to stay updated on what’s happening in chapels, social board events, senate and all other manner of on-campus happenings! Plus, you can leave comments on upcoming proposals and events. So, go ahead! Explore! Create a book mark for it! Better yet, make it your home page. But before you go nuts, let me tell you a few other ways you can stay updated.
1)Well, technically I already gave the AS website number one. So…
2)Walk-arounds. As the name suggests, I will be “walking around” each floor pretty much every Tuesday and/or Wednesday. This is a perfect opportunity for you to let me know what kind of ideas you have for dorm events and improvements as well as how you think I should vote on upcoming proposals. And sometimes, I’ll have candy.
3) BUBBS. Just type in “hopesouth” and choose the one with the little senator person. This is just another great way to let me know what you think. Also, if you have a proposal you want to bring to AS, this is a great way to contact me.
4) The Big, Bad Bulletin Board. (Coming Soon!!) Ryan, the Hope North senator, and I will be posting current and upcoming proposals on a bulletin board in the lobby, letting you know how the senate is voting.
5) The RA Office. I’ll be hanging out in there occasionally. So if none of the above options satisfy your needs, stop by and say hello. And they DO have candy.
