Change of Hope

  • ? of ?

For those of you who are new to Hope Hall, we have a little tradition here we like to call Change of Hope. For the second year now, our faithful little wooden boxes will be hanging out on your floor, awaiting your extra coinage. All the money collected goes to the Sumba Foundation in Indonesia. The Sumba Foundation works specifically with people living on the island of Sumba. (Hence the name.) This is one of the poorest islands in the Indonesian Archipelago. Since Malaria leaves 20% of the island’s children dead or brain damaged by their 10th birthday, the money from Change of Hope will go specifically to The Sumba Foundation’s program to provide children with anti-Malarial medications. For $5, one child can be provided with these life saving drugs. That’s four Dr. Peppers from the vending machines in the hall! Be on the lookout for dates and times concerning the Change of Hope kick-off party!
