Check out the proposals the Senate will be voting on this Tuesday
1) Adding tennis to Intramurals. Amount requested: $400.
2) Commuter senators requesting for commuter events. Amount requested: $750.
Keep in mind, for these proposals, we will most likely be voting Tuesday, Feb. 5th. So far I’ve heard some very positive feedback on adding tennis to the intramural program. I think this sport is one that many people on campus like to play and yet haven’t had the opportunity to play competitively. I also think that $400 is a reasonable amount to be spending on a target group of students who may not like the higher- contact sports and haven’t previously been involved in intramurals. As far as the $750 for the commuter events, I believe that although it is a huge amount- commuters could benefit from the “Good Morning Commuters” events to build community and initiate more dialogue with their senators.
Again, these are my thoughts so far. Please let me know where you would agree or disagree.

Shouldn’t the proposals be listed under “Proposals” instead of “Articles”.... it took me a while to find them.

These “Articles” are merely my “two cents” on the pending proposals and another place to recieve your feedback. The Hope South “Proposals” tab will only be used when the Senators from Hope present a proposal.
