Freshmen Representatives: Thanksgiving Dinner and Movie
27 October 2009 MEMORANDUM FOR A.S. SENIOR VP / SENATE
FROM: Daryl Ann Fletcher, AS Freshman Representative
SUBJECT:
1. Proposal: I am proposing for the funds to purchase the license to show the movie Dr. Seuss’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas, the Jim Carey edition at The Freshman Family Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday Nov. 19th from 8pm-10pm.
2. Amount Requested: $381, purchased through Swank Movie Licensing
3. Problems with Status Quo: We are given a $500 budget for an event for the Freshman class each semester, and to provide an event that the entire class would be interested in attending, we feel it necessary to provide a fun movie to watch along with the dinner.
4. Miscellaneous: Since we are hosting a Family Thanksgiving Dinner Banquet, we want there to be something to do after the dinner to socialize, create community, and foster excitement for the Freshman class in anticipation for the Holiday season.
