3. Problems with Status Quo: Last Spring, AS participated in the NY Times readership program. This program allows colleges and universities to subscribe to the NY Times at a discounted cost. In 4 weeks of participating, students picked up nearly 150 copies of the NY Times daily. The program was well received and students have expressed interest participating again. While we have the Chimes on campus, the school does not provide any other form of news media to the students outside of web access. There is not cable in the dorms and there is no outside paper subscription. This program will allow students to be informed about the happenings around the world and it will prevent a heavy expense at doing so.
4. Miscellaneous: In this endeavor, Biola would join the ranks of other universities who are participating in such programs.
