SUBJECT: Funding for Singspiration
1. Proposal: I am proposing for funding to cover the facilities costs of the remaining Singspirations for the remainder of the current semester.
2. Amount Requested: $2,250
3. Problems with Status Quo: Facilities services doubled the operational costs mid-year last year and costs were not adjusted in our budget to cover these required costs. As to why this was not budgeted in the spring budget meeting is an oversight to us. As it stands, we will have to cancel the rest of the Singspirations for the remainder of the semester.
4. Miscellaneous: I would like you to pass this proposal in full. However, if the senate sees it fit to only pass the proposal for $1,125, we as Chapel Board would only put on ½ of the planned Singspos (4-5 out of the 9 that remain unbudgeted) for the rest of the semester.
