October 16, 2009 MEMORANDUM FOR AS SENIOR VP/SENATE FROM: Producers; Brandon Marx and Evangeline Lee SUBJECT: The 2009-2010 Biola Film: Still

1. Proposal: The 2009-2010 Biola Film is requesting the support of AS in helping to fund our production of the film Still, set to begin production in January. With the support of AS, we hope to produce a uniquely poignant film that will inspire a dialogue process that can bring together not only Biola’s student body, but can have an overwhelming impact on all of those who view it.

2. Amount Requested: $4,000. This funding will be put towards creating a level of production value that will enable us to approach this film with professionalism. The money would specifically be put towards the construction of the primary location of the film, an apartment bathroom.

3. Problems with the Status Quo: Currently, the film is budgeted at just over $15,500, and at this point in our pre-production fundraising, we are still short roughly $11,5000. While we are asking for a significant amount of money from AS, we are also exhaustively pursuing the fundraising opportunities at various restaurants and venues, and have researched and contacted various organizations, such as the International Stillbirth Alliance, concerning the sponsorship of our film.

4. Miscellaneous: Throughout the entire production of this film, we are expecting to have a total crew of between 50-60 Biola students, not including hired actors or other professionals. The making of this film is invaluable as it is the application of what we learn while sitting in the classroom, thus allowing us to integrate the instruction of our professors with the instruction that comes from experience.

Our production schedule is tentatively as follows:

October 30th – Finalized Locations November 6th – Finalized Script November 24th – Finalized Cast January 5th and 6th – Rehearsals January 8th – First Day of Principal Shooting January 12th – Last Day of Principal Shooting

Thank you for your interest and consideration—we gratefully and excitedly anticipate what God has in store for us and this film. We would love for you to participate step-by-step in this endeavor with us and have created a website for you to delve deeper into the story, “meet” our crew, and get a glimpse of the filmmaking process through our production website: http://www.randomasraindrops.com.
