SUBJECT: The Summit

1. Proposal: On the 10th of April, my club, New Media Evangelism, is hosting a Summit/ Exchange based on the question, “Is it rational to believe in God?” between Dr. Greg Cavin and Dr. Doug Geivett.

2. Amount Requested: Speaker Honorarium $50 Collegium Rental $200 Advertising $70. Total $320

3. Problems with Status Quo: The purpose of this Summit is twofold: first, it is an attempt to engage students in thoughtful reflection regarding their Christian faith. Secondly, it is an attempt to reach out to individuals who hold different convictions and reason with them on a scholarly level. Miscellaneous: In my discussions with Dr. Cavin (the Atheist), he has mentioned that he would like to invite guests to our event. This event is a step toward making Biola even more of a presence within the academic world.
