FROM: Upper Campus Senators
SUBJECT: An Upper Campus Family Christmas
1. Proposal: We are proposing for funds to put on an Upper Campus Family Christmas Party for, but not limited to, the upper campus dorms and The Bluff.
2. Amount Requested: $2,400
3. Problems with Status Quo: There is currently no Christmas Party hosted by AS, we believe that by hosting an Upper Campus Family Christmas, it would give a positive image of AS and would foster community, happy memories, and camaraderie for not only upper campus, but the entire Biola community. By scheduling this directly after and a few steps away from the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, we are supporting a current Biola tradition, and adding to its splendor.
4. Miscellaneous: When discussing the idea of an Upper Campus Family Christmas, we all agreed that if we are going to host an event like this, it needs to be up to par with other AS events and on a large scale, so that it is worth peoples time to partake in the event. We have spent a decent amount of time cutting down the budget to a reasonable amount. If the event goes well, it could become the next Biola tradition.
