SUBJECT: Sexual Assault and Harassment Awareness Month
1. Proposal: I am proposing for AS to financially support a nation-wide campaign to end/stop Sexual Assault and harassment. Sexual Assault and Harassment is a growing epidemic both in secular and Christian college campus across America. Awareness, education and support are needed on college campus and it starts with student’s speaking out (See attached document for details).
2. Amount Requested: $225.00 (See attached budget)
3. Problems with Status Quo: There is a huge need for this campaign at Biola, however, there is no direct department or organization in which we can receive monetary funding. This is a student initiative, and has never been attempted on Biola’s campus. However, we have developed a committee and task force to tackle this issue. And we are committed to pursue further growth and development in seeing these programs continue in years to come.
4. Miscellaneous: I would like to vote on this proposal today, as a result of the April being half over.

Thursday April 30th: Candle Light Ceremony
There will also be a table outside everyday by the fountain, with an event schedule and education materials.
