SUBJECT: Horton Movie Event: “Horton Hears a Who”
1. Proposal: I am proposing for money to reduce the cost of a movie ticket for Horton residents to see the movie “Horton Hears a Who” in March.
2. Amount Requested: $675
3. Problems with Status Quo: I’m requesting this money to have the tickets be discounted because it does not work to get a group rate on new releases. We don’t want to push the date of this back because we’ve already cleared it with the RA’s, so as to not interfere with their floor/dorm events. I think students will be more inclined to come if the tickets are cheaper.
4. Miscellaneous: A normal priced adult movie ticket is $10.50. I’d like to be able to get this down to $8. The amount of $675 is based off of getting the theater with 270 seats, and selling it out to Horton residents.
