Chapel Schedule
Monday/Wednesday/Friday Chapels- We do everything from hiring speakers, leading worship, bringing in guest bands to running media, making videos, and providing atmosphere. Biola chapels exist as intentional times where our community connects with the living breathing God who is alive and moving on campus.
Our job as a staff is to:
- Listen to the heart beat of the Biola community
- Empower leaders to boldly direct students toward a posture of worship
- Provide an atmosphere for a passionate culture to engage with a passionate Creator.
Singspiration – Every Sunday night @ 8 PM the lights go down in Calvary Chapel and the Creator of the heavens and the earth is passionately praised. This unique worship experience is entirely student-led. Each night is different from the last as we respond as a community to the Spirit’s moving.
AfterDark- Join a staff of students who plan this unique chapel experience every week, by tailoring it specifically to where students are currently at spiritually. AfterDark is a time to go deeper as a community, worshipping, learning, and praying for each other. AfterDark happens every Wednesday night @ 9:10 PM in Calvary Chapel.
Worshipper’s Guild – On the 1st Thursday of every month any and all are welcome to a free workshop for those interested in the craft of worship leading. This is a time to exchange new ideas, songs, stories, and advice. It’s a chance to network with other musicians and collaborate on songwriting. We also provide a complete list of churches and ministries who are constantly looking for leaders and bands to lead at their events. Stay tuned for meeting times and locations.

Erwin McManus: AS Distinguished SpeakerAssociated Students After Dark Coordinator
The After Dark Coordinator heads a team of volunteers who plan and execute all Wednesday evening chapel services. Responsibilities include hiring and providing guidance for an After Dark staff, running weekly After Dark Staff meetings, working with the After Dark staff to insure that After Dark runs smoothly, maintaining a working copy of the After Dark schedule, and dealing with all financial matters such as cutting checks for speakers.

I do a crazy amount of different things from hanging out with awesome worship bands to booking speakers and most importantly, cultivating a response to the amazing things God is doing in our community.

We are hiring a freshman band to lead chapel worship every Thursday morning @ 9:30. Applications will be available Tuesday, September 4th in the AS office and are due Monday, September 10th. Auditions are all day Saturday, September 5th.
