SUBJECT: Amendment to Bylaw VIII
1. Proposal: Change in the Intramurals Bylaws, Bylaw VIII: add a point under Section VIII that reads “All team fees that are paid are non-refundable after the first week of the season.”
2. Amount Requested: zero
3. Problems with Status Quo: Right now teams sign up, then back out later and want their money back. This makes things very complicated. The Bylaw change would help keep teams dedicated to playing once they’ve signed up, because their team fee would be non-refundable.
4. Miscellaneous: Bylaw Amendments require a 2/3 vote of the Senate to be ratified according to Article XI, Section V of the AS Constitution
