SUBJECT:
1. Proposal: Money to cover the facilities expense for Poetry Lounge on October 1, 2009. The event will be taking place outside of Common Grounds and will need to have a stage, sound, a soundman and lights.
2. Amount Requested: $300
3. Problems with Status Quo: This event has no facilities money in the budget. Poetry Lounge previously been held in the Café Banquet Room, which is no longer an adequate space or desirable venue. The impact of Poetry Lounge on the student body has been severely limited because of facilities expenses. We want to make this available to more students, while still maintaining the integrity of the event. The requested venue is more ideal for this type of event.
4. Miscellaneous: I have made sacrifices in the budget and requested the reallocation of money for food in order to help pay for facilities. 4. Miscellaneous: I will leave $50 in order to provide refreshments for the guest artists.
