This year’s talent show also known as Punk N’ Pie was a huge success. The show was Halloween weekend in our very own Sutherland Auditorium, transformed into this year’s theme of “Haunted House.” The stage was adorned with jack o’ lanterns made by students representing all the dorms on campus. These were entered into the dorm competition put on by Spirit Board with the help of Res Life. The talent this year was spread across a large spectrum acts. We had musicians of all types, comedians, dancers, impersonations, and combinations of all. With spooky and funny transitions like clips from “Klay Korner” and a comical intermission, the packed auditorium sang along with acts and cheered on for fellow students. The winners of the show received cash prizes the winners who received $500 were a group of guys from PUQ in Stewart who performed the popular Sufjan Stevens song, The Transfiguration. After the show, as tradition, about 1200 pieces of pie were served to everyone who was in attendance to make a great ending for the evening. If you have any ideas on how the improve Punk N’ Pie for next year, please let us know!
